This is our story... Believe me, it is not a fairy tale. Scott and I argue, my children have meltdowns, and my house is often a mess. But we sure do love each other
and so far we are living happily ever after.

Last T-Ball Game

Cole finished his last t-ball game of the summer. Afterwards the team had a cookout and each player got a trophy. Seeing Cole get his trophy was so exciting. You would have thought the thing was made of gold. Yes, he was a little young to play this year and he did lose some interest in the outfield and probably tested Scott's patience a time or two but the whole experience was good for his self-esteem and he did learn to run to 1st base after hitting the ball.

The coach pitched a few to Cole at the last game.
Cole is telling me here that girls are not allowed on the field and that I need to get off. (Notice he has girl teammates.) I think it was more like I was embarrassing him.

Cole's biggest fan - Ella- She didn't leave his side and tried to go up and get his trophy with him.

Spiderman Times Two

I was packing up the clothes that Cole had out grown when Ella saw his spiderman pajamas. She insisted that I put them on her. Then when Cole saw her wearing those he decided he needed to go and put his Spiderman costume on. For Ella's birthday we really have to get her some girl dress-up clothes. It is really sad that she can say Spiderman and has no idea who Cinderella is.

This outfit needed a hat. Now where's my purse?

The Fourth of July

We decided to try the Fourth of July celebration at Lake Benson again this year even though last year we had to leave because Cole was terrified of the fireworks. We went with our friends, the Woods and decided to leave before the fireworks began. We really had fun. Too bad we didn't see the huge "kiddy land" they had set up until they were closing. Cole got to slide down one slide. We still laughed alot and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves, eating icees and running around. On the actual fourth we met up with Nana B. and Papa Lewis to watch the fireworks at 4042. We sat in the back of my Dad's truck and watched them. Cole was a little scared, but did much better than last year. He called his Nana on the way home to tell her that the fireworks were not over and that we had left too early(other people were setting off fireworks everywhere). Ella cried a little but once I covered her ears with a blanket she watched them and did fine.

You probably can't tell but Cole is doing a little dance. He loves Icees.

Ella too!

One picture before they sneak away.
