This is our story... Believe me, it is not a fairy tale. Scott and I argue, my children have meltdowns, and my house is often a mess. But we sure do love each other
and so far we are living happily ever after.

My Little Train Wreck

That's what Lisa and I call the stage from 1 to 2 years old.... a train wreck. Everywhere she goes she leaves a mark... and I mean literally. Ella loves coloring. She doesn't care if it is a crayon, marker, pen, pencil, or chalk. She loves them all. Even with my supervision she manages to write on the walls. Right in front of me. She will find a marker and insist that I open it. Sometimes I pretend like I can't. This used to work for Cole. But not Ella. She knows I can open it and keeps handing it back to me. I've almost given up and have thought about giving her her very own wall to write on. There are too many markers, crayons and such around my house to hide them all. It really is cute to see her trying to draw. Scott does have a few artists in his family so maybe this is a sign of a talent we don't yet know about.

I eat chalk too.

Sick Again

I have been so busy lately taking care of sick children. I'm even afraid to say that I think everyone is finally feeling better... fear of jinxing myself. We all had a lovely stomach virus and then Cole complained of a stomach ache for about week after that. One morning he woke up with a head to toe rash. Took him to the doctor and it turns out he had strep throat. (This was the source of his stomach ache - Who knew?). After endless, sleepless nights of itching to death, the rash is going away only to be replaced by a cold. Ella has had a bad cold too and is teething. Right now my throat feels scratchy. I really thought staying home this year would help with all the sickness. But Cole going to preschool two days a week is just enough to keep us all sick. We are excited about the nice weather though. We've been to the park twice already this week. We are also thrilled because we just bought a jump 'N slide bounce house. Cole and Ella both love it! Hopefully I can get some pictures of them in it soon. This will be nice because busy season has started and Scott has to work on Saturdays. One Saturday down and 8 more to go. So far, not so bad. But it is bound to get worse before it gets better. We sure are missing him around here, especially when everyone is so sick. We've been calling him alot.

Ella and Scott both with the stomach virus... They feel awful!! Trust me.

Cole's rash showed up over night. He has been miserable.

Calling his Daddy to tell him to come home! He wants to play.

"I am so sick Daddy. Even my ears are itching."
